URDIP's Patestate is the window into CSIR for access to its technology and skills. Currently, there are over 6,000 worldwide CSIR patents. The Patestate team works with the various CSIR laboratories to develop technology development contracts , licenses or sell these intellectual assets. It is an opportunity for CSIR to derive income from its research, development and engineering investments. It is also an opportunity for our industrial partners to improve their products, processes and business through use of CSIR patented technologies.
